Compass Offices’ Makati office space property is only the first of many to be opened in the Philippines
In an effort to widen its reach in the ASEAN region and to take advantage of Metro Manila’s booming office real estate market, global service office provider Compass Offices recently opened the doors of its Makati offices, the company’s first Philippine location.
Situated in the Makati Tower 6789 along Ayala Avenue, the new center spans 14,600 sqm and offers 235 workstations distributed among small, medium, and large offices. The company offers basic office services, including phone lines and unlimited business broadband connection, office furniture, dedicated client service, daily mail services, and a fully equipped pantry. Additional services include meeting rooms and seminar spaces, secretarial and concierge services, dedicated bandwidth, IT support and services, and printing.
“Before I entered the company, the Philippines was already a target market. Clearly, it is a market where there is a lot of growth, with consequently a lot of demand from a range of companies. Demand is definitely strong, and we’re well ahead of our growth curve at the moment,” Compass Offices marketing director Paul Gregory added.
“The new Compass office in Makati, like all Compass offices worldwide, features best-in-class design and IT infrastructure, and represents our ongoing commitment to provide a truly unmatched customer experience,” Compass Offices CEO Andrew Chung said.
Plans are already in place for a second office center to be located in Bonifacio Global City in Taguig. According to Compass Offices, building a strong network within Metro Manila is considered their first priority, stressing that they are actively looking for opportunities to grow their current office portfolio in Manila.
“Compass Offices in Manila is the latest proof point in the ongoing expansion of our network across the Asia-Pacific region, helping to support our aggressive growth and ensuring we are delivering a consistent and world-class customer experience in fast growing markets like the Philippines,” Chung mentioned. The company is also open to the possibility of expanding beyond Metro Manila.
“Cebu is a possible destination. It depends on the commercial opportunities and the types of deals we strike with landlords, developers, or owners. It’s possible; there’s clearly a strong IT business and outsourcing there,” Gregory explained.
Compass Offices is headquartered in Hong Kong and operates 40 centers in 15 cities located in 12 countries. The Philippines is the fifth ASEAN country the company has tapped, following their ventures in Malaysia, Singapore, Thailand, and Vietnam. Other countries where Compass Offices has set up workspaces are Australia, China, Japan, Kazakhstan, Poland, South Korea, and the United Arab Emirates.
