Advice from Real Estate and Life Experts

The experts of today learn from the experts of yesterday. So will you, when you faithfully follow the advice from experts with years of experience in the industry.

“American Socrates” Steven R. Convey discusses how people should approach life to become an effective person. Convey believes in empowering people and organizations “to significantly increase their performance capability in order to achieve worthwhile purposes through understanding and living principle-centered leadership.”

Tips and Tricks to Effective Customer Relations

Convey’s life lesson completes the formula to strengthen a real estate expert’s view of success. Narrowing down Solomon and Convey’s tactics, here are some tips and tricks to become an effective real estate agent or broker:

1. Use Your Time Wisely and Efficiently

Respond fast to your client’s queries. You do not want them to think you’re neglecting them. Having leads would not get you anywhere if you’re not responsible enough to act upon them. Get the discussion going and do not hesitate to give ample time to your clients.

Use your time to schedule appointments, prepare for presentations, and set meetings. Your work is not done after finishing the presentation. Expect a series of questions that may open doors for even more questions. In other words, you have to devote your precious time to this and never think of it as waste. Every prospective client might become a buyer if you show how efficiently you attend to their needs.

2. Give Clients Solutions Before They Can Even Ask

Anticipate a series of questions your client might ask during the presentation or after it. Gather your staff; investigate your client’s probable needs. Add markers to your client’s character bio to guide you in how to approach them.

Every client has a different character and needs. One approach may not work on everyone. Align your system to your client’s needs then formulate possible questions from the accumulated knowledge you have learned.

3. Nail Your Hellos and Goodbyes

Solomon’s advice, backed up with a research study, says clients remember the start and end of your meetings or presentations. This plays a vital role to show how well you treat a client. This also portrays that you did not only go there to get the deal but also to demonstrate a good relationship.

4. Develop a Relationship-before-Sales Mentality

Sales come after a good relationship. Listen when the client deems you as trustworthy and someone with whom they can share their doubts and hardships in a professional manner. For some clients, you can close a sale by using a sense of urgency; others need time to think their options through. This interaction can give you hints on what type of sales pitch works with them in the future.

Respect your clients’ state of mind at any specific day and time, and understand what situation they are in. There is a good time to talk sales, but it’s not when your client wants to share something important. That will gravely affect your client’s decision to further the negotiation or not.

5. Remember All Clients

Clients make your real estate ventures successful, so strive hard to remember both new and returning clients. Be polite and greet them with a smile to show them you remembered your past transactions with them.  Simply opening the doors for them will leave a good impression of your company’s reputation and your reputation as a person.

This time around, you can be more personable. You get to know your client’s life stories, especially if they are returning clients. Welcome them with good greetings and smiles. Make them feel it is somewhere they’d always love to return.

6. Gather Responsible and Dependable Professionals

Aside from clients, never forget about the team of professionals working for you. Never hire professionals in a rush just to fill a position. It affects customer relations, as well. When aiming for great service, you need to choose your team members carefully.

7. Make Every Effort to Improve

No one makes an exceptional presentation and sees the importance of client relations at first. Always seek ways to improve yourself, your team and the strategies you have been faithfully following.

Keep these tips and tricks in mind, review them and come up with a plan that works best for you, your team and your clients.
