MyCitiHomes’ Outreach Program 2019: HaPLOS (Handog na Pasasalamat sa Lahat Outreach Service)

Last Updated on

Beyond providing high-value, affordable and secured communities, MyCitiHomes gives back to its General Trias, Cavite, residents and other nearby communities through its annual outreach program, Handog na Pasasalamat sa Lahat Outreach Service (HaPLOS).

HaPLOS Dental Medical Mission

HaPLOS is an employee program for spiritual nourishment that is part of MyCitiHomes’ corporate social responsibility. The HaPLOS project is serving all of their elite communities which are both located in Bulacan and Cavite.

This September 21, 2019, HaPLOS will focus on a half-day Dental Medical Mission for the residents of Natania Homes and other nearby communities in Gen. Trias. During the medical mission, there will be free check-ups, counseling, medicines, and dental services for participants.

Those interested in the program are encouraged to pre-register, as the company wants to prioritize those who really need the service. HaPLOS hopes to accommodate 100 medical and 30 dental patients from families of all ages in Natania Homes. Nearby communities are also welcome to pre-register for the screening process.

The objectives of the project extend MyCitiHomes’ mission from building quality homes and communities to “helping people achieve more meaningful lives.”

Ganda Mo, Hanapbuhay Ko

HaPLOS is hosted two to three times a year and takes three to four months of preparation. Earlier this year, HaPLOS held “Ganda Mo, Hanapbuhay Ko,” a five-day program that they last hosted in 2011, which aimed to teach the unemployed women from Kaia Homes and Barangay Pasong Kawayan II about basic hair cutting, styling, coloring, and manicure and pedicure. These are skills each participant can take home with them and turn into their own business, giving them a way to earn an income.

“Ganda Mo, Hanapbuhay Ko” was held last April 22-26 in partnership with Ang-Hortaleza Foundation, Inc. and Cosmopolitan Church, Inc. Participants were given training on hair cutting and styling, hot oil treatment, nail care and design, and foot spa treatment.

Attendees also received free starting kits and TESDA-recognized National Certificate II on the program’s last day.

Partners supporting growth

HaPLOS aims to impart helpful life skills to its participants to open opportunities for them to improve their lifestyle. On top of this, MyCitiHomes’ outreach program also hopes that program partners can learn from the volunteering experience and that the community gets easier access to services participants may choose to offer in the future.

After the MyCitiHomes HaPLOS event this September 21, the company aims to also conduct a free circumcision and livelihood program on food preservation and preparation in the following years.

“To keep us grounded and focused on our Mission and Vision, we embrace and live our core values of God-centeredness, Integrity, Passion for Excellence, Profitability, Teamwork, Innovation and Loyalty. And that’s what we’ve been doing, we need to be intentional, speaking about our mission, vision and core values and practicing them in our daily lives in the office and extending to our homes,” says President and CEO Ms. Rosie Tsai-Wang.
