A luxury residential property in BGC is preparing to offer a charging facility for electric vehicles (EVs).

Horizon Homes, a collection of distinct homes in the heart of BGC by Shangri-la the Fort, is preparing to offer exclusive charging stations to its residents soon.

“Because of the profile of our residents, we want to give them the most innovative features,” said Gaile Moreno, property director of Horizon Homes.

Managed by Shangri-la the Fort, Horizon Homes boasts of luxurious and five-star hotel living in one of Metro’s most premier residential addresses.

According to Mr. Moreno, Horizon Homes is already seeing a demand for electric vehicles, especially among the property’s residents as they are now becoming more innovative and environmentally-conscious. He said this initiative is set to open possibilities and opportunities for widespread usage of EVs in the future, not only for Horizon Homes residents but also patrons and guests of Shangri-La at the Fort.

Together with Meralco, Horizon Homes will be the first residential complex with an EV charging facility. Meralco tapped Mserv, the country’s premier electrical engineering and energy service company, as well as eSakay, Meralco’s corporate arm for EV ventures.

ABB and Mitsubishi Motors Philippines Corp., are also supporting this project.
