In his stint with Miami Heat, he had a waterfront mansion which was recently sold for a whopping $13.4 million. His home is now a $9.2 million mansion in Akron, Ohio—the Akron Palace. Adjudged as one of the most amazing mansions owned by any athlete, the mansion rests on a sprawling 7-acre plot and the floor area of the castle is around 30,000 square feet.

Akron Palace has six bedrooms, eight full bathrooms, and six half bathrooms. You will also be amazed at some jaw-dropping amenities added inside the place. It has its own bowling alley, a movie theater, basketball court, and a recording studio. 

But if you are already awed by this Ohio mansion, wait till you see his recent purchase—a $21 million vacation home in Los Angeles. Located in LA’s most exclusive community at Brentwood, LeBron decided to buy this mansion before he moved to the Lakers. This home boasts of eight bedrooms and a master suite with a private patio, 11 bathrooms, and many other luxurious amenities. For instance, it has its own personal movie theater, a game room, a high-tech air purifying system, a marble-floored outdoor patio, an onyx bar with its own wine cellar, a private office, a custom chef kitchen, and an elevator that leads to the rooftop.

A great vacation home indeed for the king, and a perfect getaway for James’ family and nights out with buddies from the NBA.

Steph Curry

Stephen Curry is a phenomenal superstar on the court, but off-court he prefers a more peaceful retreat in his charming hacienda-like home in Orinda, California. He acquired the property two years ago at $3.1 million—a price not as extravagant as those of other NBA players’ homes.

Curry’s home is Spanish-inspired, with nice red roofs and courtyards and romantic touches adorning the place. It has five bedrooms and four and a half baths.

Kevin Durant

Brooklyn Nets superstar Kevin Durant owns this magnificent $13.5 million-worth oceanfront property in Malibu. The 5,136-square feet mansion has four bedrooms and six baths including the master suite and a private guest suite each with spa and balconies leading to the beach. Spectacular views of the waters surround the house through walls of glass. The house has other features like an exercise loft, a massage area, a media room equipped with a projector, and big kitchens for entertaining.

Durant sold this property recently and has reportedly bought a new one in New York, fanning rumors that he might eventually join either the New York Knicks or Brooklyn Nets.

Kawhi Leonard

Kawhi Leonard has reportedly purchased this new home recently in sunny Southern California for $13.3 million. Set on an upscale community called Rancho Santa Fe, the five-acre property is described as a “Tuscan-style estate”. The 13,000 square feet massive home has seven bedrooms, ten bathrooms, a gourmet kitchen, two offices, and a wine vault. There is also a home theater and facilities for full workouts. Outside the home are a multi-section pool, fire pits, Baja decks, and fruit orchards.

In the meantime, Leonard denied that he purchased or owns any property in Toronto by saying that it has not happened yet.

Giannis Antetokounmpo

In an interview in 60 Minutes last year, America learned that Bucks star player Giannis Antetokounmpo, nicknamed the “Greek Freak”, was renting a two-bedroom apartment shared with his girlfriend, mother and brother—this is despite his $22million salary. This 2019 NBA Most Valuable Player is now the owner of this $1.8million mansion in the Milwaukee suburb of River Hills. The home was purchased from retired former teammate Mirzo Teletovic who left the NBA for health reasons.

Measuring around 10,000 square feet, the mansion has five bedrooms, seven and a half baths, an in-ground pool and home theater. It also features a remarkable gym perfect for those long workouts.

Anthony Davis

Los Angeles Lakers forward Anthony Davis purchased this $7.5million mansion in Los Angeles, California just recently. The two-story 15,734 square foot property on a less than a 3-acre lot is of contemporary Mediterranean architecture. The five-bedroom property comes equipped with luxurious features like a home theater, a gym, an infinity pool with water slides, an outdoor kitchen, and an indoor basketball court. A separate guest house awaits visitors who want to stay over.

Russell Westbrook

Thunder point guard Russell Westbrook’s mansion in Los Angeles was bought for $4.65million from previous owner Keeping Up with the Kardashians star Scott Dissick. The mansion has six bedrooms and six bathrooms, a swimming pool, a spacious kitchen, and with huge glass doors and windows that provide a refreshing view of the outdoors. There is plenty of outdoor living space as well with the gorgeous and green surroundings that make it a perfect retreat place after a stressful basketball season.
