Save for the summer time, the holiday season is often taken as the best opportunity to take a vacation out of town. While an escape is welcome for most workers and students, there is still no turning away from the Christmas itself, as the holiday arguably the most celebrated in the Philippines.
With that, wherever you go in the country, you will never miss out on the festivities, as there is always something Christmas-y to do or see in the Philippines. Should you find yourself in any of these cities leading up to the holidays, you may also want to check out the different bazaars to do some last-minute Christmas shopping.
CEBU
An urban landscape situated near different beaches and other natural attractions, the Queen City of the South is not lacking in places to visit, and like its northern counterpart, Metro Cebu is similarly not left wanting in holiday bazaars.
Cebu International School Christmas Bazaar

Hosted by the Cebu International School, the CIS Christmas Bazaar takes almost all visitors in mind, as it features a wide array of exhibitors and vendors specializing in fashion, toys, food, jewelry, homer décor, hospitality and leisure, and even some non-governmental organizations. OFW and SME Business Christmas Expo 2016

SM City Cebu Trade Hall
A two-day event with held in different areas in the Philippines, the OFW and SME Business Expo is dedicated to all balikbayans and small and medium enterprises (SME) and business owners. While providing the opportunity to promote products and services, it is also a venue for exploring business opportunities, enhancing networks, and exchanging ideas.

Festive Fete: A Holiday Bazaar

Pop District Bazaar

Pop District Bazaar is a food and lifestyle bazaar that promotes local, small or startup businesses highlighting the online community. BAGUIO CITY
Arguably the most common Christmas vacation destination thanks to the its weather fittingly being the coldest around the holiday season, Baguio City and its chilly pine scented atmosphere also makes for the ideal setting of one-of-kind bazaars that seemingly complement the city’s overall culture and lifestyle.
Celebrity Christmas Buzzaar

Baguio Country Club Christmas Village

On its sixth year, the Baguio Country Club Christmas Village is continues to bring a “white Christmas” to its guests. This season, the village has two themes: Pokemon and a traditional Christmas. Entrance fee for adults (13 years old and above) is Php100, Php40 for children 4–12 years old, and Php70 for senior citizens. Persons with disabilities and kids 3 years old and below enter for free.
Baguio Christmas Bazaar
November 28 to 30
PFVR Gym, Military Cut-off Road, Baguio City
The Baguio Christmas Bazaar is a collaboration between local theater group Baguio Act One Productions Inc., and SquareUp Events Inc., an organization promoting sports, health, and culture and helping the youth. The bazaar features food stalls, games, merchandise, a book drive, Santa Claus, and more. Part of the event’s proceeds will be used to assist the Bethesda Children’s Home and UNICEF Philippines.
Pieces by Reese: Christmas Bazaar 2016

DAVAO
The largest city in the Philippines in terms of land area, Davao City and the rest of the Davao region is expectedly the most eventful place for the holidays in Mindanao. Considered one of the most multi-cultural locales in the Philippines, the same can be said of its events and bazaar during the Christmas season.
Christmas Eats & Treats

While the Abreeza Mall Christmas was initially held from November 17 to 20, it is slated to be held again from December 14 to 18. During bazaar, shoppers will be treated to a mall-wide sale, extended mall hours, a performance by members of the Manila Symphony Orchestra, and other activities. OTHER CITIES IN THE PHILIPPINES
While seemingly less hectic of a Christmas vacation spot than the aforementioned major cities, and considered more for their less not-so-commercialized celebrations, there are other places outside Metro Manila that have their own Christmas bazaars worth checking out.
Closet Bazaar for a Cause
December 10
Sunflower Bistro Function Hall, Calda, Capitol Drive, Butuan City
The Closet Bazaar for a Cause is a benefit event for children with disability living in certain barangays in Butuan City. Apart from enjoying the great deals and different products at the bazaar, visitors also have a chance to win accessories and cosmetics as the event will also have an hourly raffle. Admission to the Closet Bazaar is priced at Php25 per person.
Paskuhan sa Bayambang Night Bazaar
November 18 to January 18
Bayambang Town Plaza, Bayambang, Pangasinan
Part of the larger Paskuhan sa Bayambang celebration, the festival’s night bazaar or tiangge will give locals and visitors a wide variety of quality clothes, shoes, fashion accessories, toys and novelty items to choose from, as well as one-town, one products (OTOPs) from participating locales.
Nepo Mall Holiday Bazaar
December 1 to 15
Nepo Mall, Dagupan City
From December 1 to 15, different brands will be providing Nepo Mall goers various holiday discounts. Participating brands include RRJ, Estrella Farm, and San Sierra Oil, as well as include the participation of Aguinaldo Interiors Arts & Crafts Gallery, Chat’s Kid’s Accessories & Slippers, and Jornie’s Music Store, among others
Centrio Mall Christmas Bazaar
December 17 to 18
Centrio Mall, Cagayan de Oro
The weekend bazaar will feature food tasting, free sampling and selling of baked/cooked products, and the sale of Christmas gift items. Other activities reportedly lined up include a caroling contest, and searches for the Best Chocolate Cake, Monster Got Talent, and Decorate your Own Cupcake.
