To avoid clutter and have a well-organized home, a few storage hacks are all it takes for each part of the home.
Think about your home. Do you have too much stuff? Do you often find things in places they shouldn’t be? Is clutter a normal state? Do you ever find yourself closing your eyes and wishing a reality TV show would magically come barging in to give your home a makeover?
If you can relate to any of the above, then don’t fret—whether you’re only a little sloppy or a borderline hoarder—there are ways to achieve a more organized home. Neat, maximized spaces are entirely doable, and you won’t need a reality show to do it for you. A few trusty space-saving hacks will do the trick.
Make the best of the empty spaces in your kitchen.

More than any other place in the house, the kitchen is where things are made. You cook, bake, fix yourself a snack–using up ingredients and cookware in the process. With all that you use in the kitchen, you’d want to make sure everything is stored properly and every space is utilized as best as possible so you can cook up that dish in a jiffy. Do you ever notice all the unused space between your kitchenware even when they’re stacked on top of each other? Try stuffing mini shelves into your pantry cupboards to maximize the space.
Get containers for the bathroom.

To continue the theme, maximize your spaces by placing baskets in your shelves. Large wicker baskets add a homey yet classy touch to your bathroom shelves or vanities while keeping things tidy. You could even personalize each basket for every person. And you can choose from a variety of baskets to match the feel of your bath area.
For your bedrooms, think vertical.

We all know there’s a lot of space underneath our beds, and it’s easy to keep things in that space and forget about them. However, this can be an unsightly and inefficient way to use the space. Instead, you should be thinking about storing your things by building upward. A tallboy or cabinet will take up the same floor space as a bedside table, but it’s more advantageous when you think about how much you can store. You can also make use of multi-layer closet organizers for spaces that look nice while storing as much as possible.
Display + Storage is key for your living room.

Because your living area is a place to gather, entertain, and relax, it deserves pieces that not only look good but are actually functional. A good console table, for example, would serve the purpose of holding all the things you want on display–photographs, figurines, flower vases–while still providing storage space underneath. For your living room, don’t limit your furniture to aesthetically pleasing pieces. As with anything in your home, make sure you choose good pieces for the things that are important to your family.
