Bay City: For Business, Leisure, Retail, and now, Living

See the development of Bay City unfold as it stakes its claim as the new business and leisure capital of Metro Manila

A reclamation project in Manila Bay that began in the late 1970s, the area now popularly known as the Bay City is slowly emerging as an exceptional vision of what the future holds for the Philippines.
Split between Pasay City on the north and Paranaque City on the south, the area is popularly known to many as the location of the SM Mall of Asia Complex, which is home to the third largest shopping mall in the country, a slew of modern office and residential buildings, and several recreational areas.
The Bay City also serves as the Philippines’ capital for casinos and entertainment. South of the Mall of Asia is the Philippine Entertainment City—a Las Vegas-like gaming and entertainment complex currently featuring two integrated resorts projects: Solaire Resort and Casino, which opened in 2013, and the City of Dreams Manila, which will be fully operational by February 2015. The next few years will see the completion of the remaining two of the four integrated resorts, namely Resorts World Bayshore and Manila Bay Resorts.
However, it is not all hotel casinos, retail stores, and entertainment facilities in Bay City. Seen as a city within a city, the reclamation area is also the location of one of the country’s premiere yacht clubs, as well as several key local and national offices like the Department of Foreign Affairs and the Qatar Embassy, and also the Archdiocesan Shrine of Jesus. True to its role as a center of attraction, Bay City is strategically located within a short distance of the national airport, as well as several public transport terminals.
With comprehensive lifestyle choices all set in a grand location, it cannot be helped that many people want to reside in the Bay City full time. Now, while it is relatively easy to come and go from here, living near the area is not quite the same as living in it. By being based in Bay City, everything it has to offer is right at your fingertips. No extended walks, and no long commutes.
Sitting between the SM Mall of Asia and the Philippine Entertainment City, Monarch Parksuites allows residents to always be in the thick of things. A project by Anchor Land Holdings Inc., the luxury condominium is a Bay City highlight in itself, with luxury amenities like exclusive gourmet dining rooms, two Olympic swimming pools, and an exclusive movie theater.

Monarch Parksuites is comprised of four grand towers named after existing castles in England: Windsor Suites, Windsor Place, Balmoral Suites, and Balmoral Place. Sitting on an 18,000-sqm property, each tower features a total of 17 stories. Along with the previously mentioned luxury amenities, the Monarch Parksuites is also set to have a gourmet dining area, a 50-meter Olympic-sized swimming pool and a theater room. The luxury condo similarly covers occupants’ outdoor activity needs, with tennis and basketball courts, a landscaped parterre, a sunken garden, a barbeque deck, and the all-important children’s play area.
As if its locations in the center of Bay City was not enough, Monarch Parksuites also holds the unique distinction of being the first luxury condominium to have a true bayside location. The luxury condo estate has direct views of Manila Bay, where beautiful sunsets can be enjoyed on a daily basis.
