When seeking to rent a temporary home that is close to your workplace, it is a must to be practical. If you are working in any of the business districts in Pasig, Makati, or Taguig, finding apartments with the most affordable rents would be close to impossible, as costs of living in these areas are skyrocketing.
This has led to people going outside Metro Manila to search for a dwelling. If you do not have the budget to rent an apartment in the middle of the metropolis, the only option is to scour provinces that are near these urban cities. One such province is Rizal.
In Rizal, Taytay is one of the most sought-after places to look for apartments for rent given its proximity to Pasig and Taguig. Home to around 319,000 people spread across five barangays, Taytay is the most populous municipality in the country. Not only that, it is one of the richest municipalities in the country with a wealth of over PHP 622 million.
Taytay enjoys greater accessibility to and from Metro Manila, thanks to the C6 Road that ply Pasig on the east side, Parañaque, Muntinlupa and Taguig on the south, and Quezon City on the west. It has indeed evolved from what it was once during its beginnings as a mere settlement located near Laguna de Bay.
Taytay is a burgeoning commercial and industrial center. Known for its stylish ready-to-wear clothes and its art of woodworking, it is now transitioning from being a predominantly agricultural municipality to a major commercial center. One factor that made the municipality an economic powerhouse it is strong transportation infrastructure. It has an existing road network running for a total length of nearly 140 kilometers. Two of its main roads, Rizal Avenue and the Manila East Road, serve as the main access from Metro Manila. Public transport linking the municipality to Metro Manila are also present in Taytay.
According to the local government, over 7,000 commercial and industrial firms are operating in the city. Some of the known investors who decided to set up shop in the municipality are Wilcon Builders Big, SM Prime Holdings, Puregold Price Club, and Megaworld Constructions. These firms are leveraging on the municipality's robust transportation network, thriving economic landscape, and strong human resource pool.
One of the landmarks in Taytay is the Club Manila East, a resort hotel sitting in the heart of the municipality. It is one of the major drivers of tourism in Taytay, given its attractive landscapes that resemble Laguna de Bay. It boasts of wave pools that serve as a training ground for surfing.
There are many landed apartments that can be rented in Taytay. The only consideration you have to take is its location. Rents range from PHP 4,000 from a one bedroom apartment to PHP 6,000 for two bedroom apartments. There are also non-landed units for rent, which has around the same monthly rents.
You can also find apartments for rent in private developments, such as in Filinvest Havila. Whilst the rents are relatively high, you can definitely immerse yourself in the scenic view the project has of Metro Manila.
Tatay is indeed a go-to place for people looking to rent a home that is not too far away from the metropolis scene. Your limited rental budget can already go a long way in Taytay.
