About the Development
The GT Tower International is a PEZA accredited office building located in Salcedo Village, Makati City. It is named after George Ty, the founder of Metropolitan Bank and Trust Company. GT Tower started construction in 1999 and began operations in 2001. It was only in 2004, however, that it was officially introduced to the public.
Its developer is Federal Land, Inc. which is a subsidiary of GT Capital Holdings, Inc. GT Tower International was designed by GF & Partners Architects and Gozar Planners Philippines. They collaborated with its design consultant, Kohn Pedersen Fox Associates. The latter is an architectural firm which is well known around the world for its projects. Among them are the Shanghai World Financial Center (China), the World Bank Headquarters (USA) and the Unilever London Headquarters (UK). Global structural engineering firm SY^2 + Associates, Inc. (formerly Aromin & Sy + Associates) was responsible for its structural design.

It is right across the street from the RCBC Plaza and a few meters away from the PBCom Tower. The latter was formerly the country’s tallest building at 259 meters. This has since been overtaken by the Grand Hyatt Manila (Federal Land Tower) at 318 meters. It is also a development by Federal Land, Inc.
