Where can you find an apartment for rent in Caloocan?

The fourth most populous city in the Philippines (after Quezon City, Manila, and Davao City), the City of Caloocan is something of an oddity in Metro Manila. It is divided into two parts: the south and more urbanized section lies directly north of Manila, which is more commonly associated with Monumento. The northern and more suburban-rural area lies directly north of Quezon City and south of San Jose Del Monte, Marilao, and Meycauayan in Bulacan. This part of the city is what many people commonly associate with Novaliches. The two parts of the city are separated by Barangays Ugong and Bagbaguin of Valenzuela City.

This is the reason why the two parts function like two separate local government units, when in fact it is being administered as one. However, the city’s most famous landmarks, such as its famous Taoist temple, the monument of hero and revolutionary Andres Bonifacio, and the City Hall, are found in the southern part. Southern Caloocan also houses two of the city’s major universities: University of the East Caloocan and Manila Central University.

Getting to the City

There are a number of ways to get to Caloocan from other parts of Metro Manila. The southern area is integrated to the rest of the Metro via LRT-1, which has two stations in the city: 5th Avenue and Monumento. The northern area on the other hand, is accessible from Quezon City via Quirino Highway, Congressional Avenue, and the North Luzon Expressway.

Apartment for Rent: Caloocan and Its Housing Market

Houses are normally stand-alone homes or townhouses for sale and door apartments for rent in Caloocan.

The southern part of the city is where most of the city’s urban and commercialized areas are located. There are many shopping malls and big-box shopping centers, though they are not as huge as those found in Quezon City, Mandaluyong, and Pasay. In addition, the 10th Avenue area is well known throughout Metro Manila for its clusters of motorcycle dealers and spare parts suppliers.

North Caloocan, on the other hand, is more popularly known as a suburban residential area, as it is home to countless subdivisions and villages, ranging from socialized housing projects and government resettlement areas, to mid-market residential estates developed by some of the country’s well-known real estate developers. Hence, if you are looking for an apartment for rent in Caloocan City, this part offers plenty of options.
