From the success of the first online housing fair last May, Lamudi delivered yet another milestone in the real estate industry by completing the second online housing fair this September. More than anything, this success is anchored on the stories of property seekers finally making their dream property a reality.
As we witnessed each young professional, growing family, and overseas Filipino worker finding their dream property at the online housing fair, we at Lamudi are more eager to see property seekers from the country and abroad reaching their real estate goals.
Success of the Property Fair
Allow me to take this time to reflect on the current real estate market on Lamudi. According to our event data, property seekers aged 25 to 34 were the most active in the online housing fair. This is no surprise since the millennials make up the largest portion of the current workforce. Established in their careers or businesses, they have the buying power for real estate investments. We believe that more millennials are taking up property ownership as well to support their work-from-home set-up.
Vertical projects located in key metropolitan areas–the capital region, Metro Cebu, and Metro Davao–saw plenty of activity at the online housing fair. With the nearing return of the workforce to the office, we anticipate a movement of property seekers taking up condos to be near the workplace.
Meanwhile, the most viewed house and lot projects are situated in regional cities near Metro Manila. This coincides with the prevailing trend we’ve seen all throughout the pandemic: property seekers going to suburban communities and taking advantage of more living and outdoor space.
We’re delighted that the exclusive deals and discounts offered by developers were a hit to property seekers, with many of them interested in developments that offer gift certificates and free appliances. A significant number of seekers also took interest in the low monthly amortization offers.
