If you’ve been wanting to plan your next getaway, Malacañang has released an official list of Philippine holidays this 2019. And guess what? There’s ten of them you can choose from.
Bring out your suitcases and swim attires cause Malacañang has released an official list of Philippine holidays for 2019, which includes around 10 long weekends for you to enjoy! Yup, you got that right–10 chances for you to enjoy that beach getaway or fly off to another country with your family and friends. Also, 10 opportunities to maybe kick in and relax for a staycation or simply catch some zzz’s back home.
President Rodrigo Duterte signed Proclamation no. 555, declaring all the regular and special non-working holidays for 2019 last August.
For this year, you can expect to enjoy a grand total of 21 holidays, with some of them falling under Wednesdays so you can expect to enjoy some rest and relaxation on hump day!
Fun fact: The list also includes the Feast of Immaculate Conception of Mary (Dec 8), which has only recently entered the list of holidays on December 28, 2017, and officially observed in 2018.
Now actually, there are only 7 long weekends marked on the Philippine holiday calendar, but if you take our advice and save 3 of your vacation leaves for certain dates, you can stretch it to a total of 10 long weekends.
